Axos Bank's Rewards Checking Account offers high interest rates of up to 3.30% APY by meeting a series of conditions that raise the interest rate in a tiered manner. The account has no monthly fee and can be opened from a minimum amount of only $50.
This is a 100% online account, but it allows you to withdraw money at no cost nationwide at more than 91,000 ATMs with no limits, and the bank offers unlimited reimbursement of domestic ATM fees. There are no monthly maintenance fees, no overdraft fees and no minimum balance requirement,

The checking account offers interest of up to 3.30% APY. There are five reward tiers, each of which increases your earning potential after meeting certain transaction or direct deposit requirements.
Interest is only paid on the first $50,000 in the account, and the conditions for receiving interest are as follows:
- 0.40% APY: Receive monthly direct deposits totaling $1,500 or more. This requirement must be met in order to receive interest and add in the following items.
- 0.30% APY: Enroll in Personal Finance Manager (PFM) "Account Aggregation" in online banking or use your Axos debit card 10 times per month (minimum $3 per transaction).
- 1.00% APY: Maintain an average daily balance of $2500 per month in an Axos Managed Portfolios Investment Account.
- 1.00% APY: Maintain an average daily balance of $2,500 per month in an Axos self-directed business investment account.
- 0.60% APY: Use the Rewards Checking account to make the full monthly payment on your Axos consumer loan.
In total, if you meet all points, you earn 1.25% APY.
